Messico Blend Forte - taste in balance
 The coffee capsules of the Messico Blend Forte consist of a mixture of Mexican Arabica beans and a small addition of Asian Robusta coffee. The result is a balanced and rich taste that invites you to long moments of pleasure! The Messico Blend Forte Fairtrade espresso capsules have an intensity of 9 and are compatible with your Nespresso® * machine. Even if, in contrast to the Alu Nespresso® * capsule, the Gourmesso capsules are made of a soft plastic, your machine will not be damaged.
 The difference between coffee and espresso
 Basically, both coffee and espresso are made from the same coffee beans, which can be both arabicas and robustas. The difference here lies in the strength of the roast. For the espresso, the beans are roasted a little darker and lose more caffeic acid and caffeine. The latter, however, is compensated for by the small amount of water with which an espresso is brewed, which means that its caffeine content is higher than that of a cup of coffee. The shorter the brewing process, the fewer bitter substances can be released from the coffee powder.
 Special features of Robusta coffee
 Compared to the arabica, growing the Robusta coffee bean is a little easier. It is characterized by a slightly more distinctive, full-bodied taste and forms significantly more crema with a firm stand. The Robusta beans tolerate more heat and moisture than the arabica and are grown in lower regions. They also have a higher caffeine content. Especially in Italy, the types of coffee have a high proportion of Robusta, because its special taste is understood as a typical espresso characteristic. The world market price of the Robusta bean is determined on the London Stock Exchange.
 For the environment
 We want to enable you to enjoy 100% responsible coffee in the long term. That is why we have been working for some time on a fully compostable coffee capsule that is still compatible with all common Nespresso machines and at the same time maintains the usual high quality of our coffees. However, current technology does not yet allow us to combine compatibility and quality as well as compostability. However, we do not want you to have to accept compromises in terms of compatibility, taste or aroma. For this reason, we currently have two different generations of capsules in our range: One capsule made of polypropylene and another made of partially compostable materials, which is hermetically sealed with the help of an airtight film.
