The carbonates contained in tap water are deposited in the hoses, vessels and mechanisms of your machine, in short: your coffee machine calcifies over time.

The limescale deposits can have a negative impact on the brewing temperature, the water flow and the taste of your coffee. In the worst case, your machine can even be damaged. It is therefore important to descale the coffee capsule machine regularly. We recommend that you descale it at least every 6 months, or every 3 months if you use it a lot.
